▶ Another classic Christmastime song. A fun song to sing; not as fun when you're singing all 4 parts 😅

🐾 Carol of the Bells has always been an interesting Christmas piece to me. Much like "O' Hanukkah", Carol of the Bells is a happy holiday song written in a minor key. This give this song a more intense feeling, coupled with the usual high tempo that the song is sung in. I played on that overall feeling and decided to play on the tension the song provides and made it slightly more aggressive.

🐾 Also, yes, all 4 parts (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass (to all the alto singers, I feel for you)) were sung by me. This song was definitely more of a challenge; hearing other renditions of this song, I'm quite certain it was literally meant for a choir to sing. Singing it at the tempo I had it set at, 200bpm in 3/4 time, I hardly had time to breath! I had to resort to me choir/concert band knowledge of "stagger breathing", so each part was recording twice, each one taking breaths at different moments, some ever odd measure, others ever even measure. A fun challenge, one I don't know if I want to do again for a little while.
